Well, I made it to Gainesville. Me and my parents reached here on Saturday afternoon after a long car ride. So sorry I’ve taken so long to write, it’s been a crazy busy time.  Yay for free time! So let’s see, we got here around on Saturday around 3 or so and I got myself in. We live in a cute little southern house, five bedroom, 2 bathrooms.  We live 5 minutes from a Zaxby’s (zaxby’s is everywhere! lol) and Subway, there’s a Super Walmart and a Chic fil a.  I figured this was a good sign ๐Ÿ˜‰ The area is very cozy and homey ๐Ÿ™‚ I had my choice of rooms and picked a nice cozy one that another girl named Ali was already in but she was away for the weekend. There was only me, Jessica, Amanda at this point. Yvi was also there too, she doesn’t live here but she is with aim and comes by from time to time.  Anyway, after some time getting some stuff unpacked I headed out to dinner w/my family and a quick walmart run for last minute things. We headed back to the house and said our goodbyes(which was a lot harder than I had planned it on being!!) and I finished some unpacking.
The next morning, Yvi and I headed to a church called Lanier Hills. It was a baptist church, kind of felt like a mini-baylife in a way. It was really what I needed….something that felt familiar! The church had a cookout for labor day after service and baptism. While there, I met SO many people and “the band” from Aim. Not really a band….but I was told later that that is just what they call themselves lol. Headed back to the house and started operation unpack my stuff as I jammed out to some Hillsong United. Heard a tapping at the front door when I went to see it was our only male teamate(at this time) Barton. He lives with some other staff guys at an apartment, showed him around and we hung out as people started to come in. Ali came back and Maggie sooned joined. It was a nice little fit of us, a little family. We hung out, chatted about life and enjoyed each other company. Monday was a holiday and me and my roomate Ali decided to go out and explore, we drove around Gainesville’s crazy windy and hilly roads to hit starbucks and do some shopping for our room and what not. We got a call to go pick up a girl from the airport, about 30 minutes from us. So we headed to get her and it was a nice little road trip. Ali is awesome, we totally hit it off and I’m really excited to be rooming w/her! We picked up rosie and headed back and at last our house was complete. Me, Ali, Jessica, Amanda, Rosie and Maggie. And Bart. Well he doesn’t live w/us but our team was complete. At least for now until Kim, Brady and Latoya come a little later on.

It’s been a great time, we are each learning about each other and getting to know the little things about each others personalities. I think we realize that we are the honeymoon phase at least for now lol but we are embracing it. ๐Ÿ˜› Me and Ali also got to head out to Walmart on Monday night to get some stuff for our bathroom. It looks great and like our own. Tuesday we got to go to the Aim officess and finish up some final paperwork, we also had our first meal together as a family back at the house, then had dinner with our mentors from AIM. We met some really cool Godly couples and I can’t wait to get to know them even more.  Well….That’s all for now, I will be posting pictures soon of the scavenger hunt we had this morning, me and Ali’s walmart shopping experience and of the room and house. Thank you all so much for your prayers during this time. It is greatly appreciated! Pray for openess to hear what God is speaking to me and to the different things I am going to try and experience. Also for me to take residence here. This is my home and I want to see it as such, not a vacation! lol.  I am definatley surrounded by loving people who are encouraging and challenging so I know that this will be a good time. Well….I’m off for now. I feel as though there is so much I want to share but unfortunatly time is up, we are heading to the offices for a team building time and meeting department leaders. Then we have a progressive dinner tonight! So excited. Anyway, thanks for the support and prayers. I’ll update more and more consistently! Stay tuned for pictures!!Love you all!
