It’s less than a week until I leave and what a time it has been! Just came off an amazing weekend with friends and family. The send off/see ya later party was this past weekend and it was a really good time. What a bittersweet time. I had all my good friends together in one place, can’t beat that! It’s been an exciting time but a trying one as well. The financial support is something that God continues to test my faith in daily. I have some way to go to the $3000 mark but it’s amazing how God is providing. Between Friday and now I have $700 alone that have been/will be added to my account! I also have another $1000 in donations coming this week! Yay God! It’s amazing to see how God is using others to give to this movement! My awesome college ministry is using funds from t-shirt sales to donate to my trip. I feel so blessed and encouraged that God would choose to use me in this way and bless me in this way.
I anticipate that this week will consist of last minute packing, shopping and drop by visits to friends and family. My goal is to be as productive as I can be…..I must admitt it’s been a little hard to be. I desire to spend time with people but stuff needs to get done! So I’m asking God for a little pep in my step(a lot of pep really!). My parents have been great though too. They have been more patient than I deserve, making sure I get done what I need to get done and asking me the right questions to make sure I have what I need. I’m sure I’m driving them crazy though!
During this time I am really greatful for your prayers. To tell you the truth, as sweet as this time has been learing new things, spending time with friends and getting excited for what is to come, it’s been a trying time as well. Satan is quite the discourager! He is using certain situatons to really bring me down and shake up some friendships in a negative way leading me to question my standing with people. But I know that God is bigger than the situation I’ve been presented, so please pray that I can focus on Him and His power and not the situation. Well….thats’ all for now. I can’t believe that this time next week I will be starting my new chapter in Georgia! Thanks again for your prayers and support!!
